Irish Car Bombs? Beer with green dye? Nope. If you really want to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in true fashion, drink these local beers that pay homage to the beer styles from the Emerald Isle. Check out these specialties available across the state today:

1) Brew Bus Rollin Dirty Irish Style Red Ale (Tampa)

Did you really think we could write a blog about Irish Style Ales without mentioning our own beloved Rollin Dirty? Pours a deep amber color with forward caramel aromas. English hops lend an herbal bitterness for balance. Find it in cans all over Florida.

2) Green Bench Stay Dry Stout (St. Pete)

Named for the constant downpours we get here in Florida – something that Floridians and the Irish can both relate to. This is a dark stout with a lighter body.

3 & 4) Twisted Trunk Irish Red, and Jameson Oak Stout (Palm Beach Gardens)

Twisted Trunk in Palm Beach is bringing out two specialties beers just for St. Patrick’s Day. Their brewery just opened in early February so if you haven’t checked them out yet today is the day.

5) Pair O’ Dice Little Joe Oatmeal Stout (North St. Pete)

This stout is staple at Pair O’ Dice. Coming in at 5.8%, the oats shine in the front with a creamy mouth feel. They also just released their blonde strawberry seasonal Lucky Lucy, so make sure to try that when you’re there.

6 & 7) Due South Peppermint Paddy Stout, and Curse of the Irish Red (Boynton Beach)

Due South never disappoints with their seemingly endless list of experimental brews and one-offs. Get down to the Biergarten in Boca Raton to try the exclusive tapping of their Curse of the Irish Red. Their Peppermint Paddy Stout is only available in their taproom.

8) Cigar City Cider and Mead (Ybor City)

Cigar City Cider and Mead has been taking the craft cider and mead world by storm. They have been teasing some green ciders and meads on social media over the weekend “in the spirit of Van Gogh.” If you like Absinthe this is a must visit.

9) Green Room Irish Red Tide (Jacksonville Beach)

Their name is green, but they animatedly want you to know that their beer is not. This specialty beer was just tapped today.

10) Persimmon Hollow Funky Freddie Fitz (Deland)

Although it may be a Belgian-Style Stout, they describe that The Fitz “gives you the all sweet, malty flavors of a traditional stout without weighing your palate down. Belgian ale yeast provides that extra funk, making the beer as lively as an Irishman on Saint Paddy’s Day.”
